L'amour

Path vs Goal

"Your view that you do not find any difference between the path and the goal is an indication of close attachment.

Thoughts

Thoughts which one makes, or has made, remain afloat in the brahmanda mandal and transform into energy. At times they strike a man's heart, causing their impressions in accordance with the capacity and nature of the man. But if he remains inattentive towards them their intensity is lost, and they become almost ineffective. If we form the habit of paying no heed to them, they will have no effect upon us.

Not God, because there is no dispensing God, however wonderful that concept may be, that we can pray to Him, and He will send His emissary. Formes divines (Formele Divine)

Make a Will

It is really surprising that some people consider themselves to be too weak for practice, while actually they are not so. An ordinary man has within him the same power and the same soul-force that a saint has. The only difference between them is that the sage has torn off the covering round his soul while the other is just like a silkworm in the cocoon. And if one resolves firmly to throw off these coverings, no power on earth can stop him.

Adversity

It is, of course, unnatural to expect everything to correspond with your tendencies and liking, and so far, none, including even the great saints or avatars, has ever had that in his life. Every one is faced with adversities alike. The only difference is that some take them joyfully as a gift from the Lord, while others grudge them, lament over them, and create a feeling of resentment against them. This adds to our miseries and brings us to a state of distraction. The best and perhaps the only solution is to try to mould ourselves so as to fit in with the circumstances and the environments. Adversity will then lose its pinching effect.

Vivekananda: Selfless service can give mukti not directly but indirectly, through the purification of the mind.

The end of all religions is the realizing of God in the soul. That is the one universal religion. If there is one universal truth in all religions, I place it here--in realizing God.

This is the difference between the one who achieves and one who doesn’t. "

Taken from the book "Truth Eternal (5th edn., 2010)", Chapter "Ignorance and Knowledge", pg. 68, by Lalaji Maharaj

Last time I went to the West, I also took a little of Ganga water with me, fearing it might be needed, and whenever opportunities occurred, I used to drink a few drops of it. And every time I drank, in the midst of the stream of humanity, amid that bustle of civilization, that hurry of frenzied footsteps of millions of men and women in the West, the mind at once became calm and still, as it were.

Personalitatea

Constant Remembrance

If you are able to be in remembrance of Him who is our Maker, our Creator, who is within, who is leading us in that consciousness, nothing but what is necessary will arise in our minds as thoughts. This is what we call constant remembrance in Sahaj Marg.
